Let’s recognize those who create lifelong passionate aviators.
There are many people who have a desire to fly, but very few of them make it all the way into our group of certificated pilots. The AOPA Flight Training Excellence Awards, brought to you by Flight Training magazine, will recognize and celebrate those who provide a customer experience that supports student pilots and facilitates their entry into all aspects of the aviation community.
The award recipients will be named from the results of the 2013 Flight Training Excellence Poll. The Poll is based on AOPA’s extensive research into the optimal flight training experience and focuses on four key factors: educational quality; customer focus; community; and information sharing.
Awarded annually, the 2013 Flight Training Excellence Awards will be announced at the AOPA Summit, October 10-12, in Ft. Worth, TX.
To be eligible for an award a flight training provider must have received a minimum number of five polls completed for them. Poll results will be scored and averaged for each flight school and flight instructor. For the top scoring flight schools and instructors in the poll, free response answers will be reviewed and then scored by a panel.
The title of Outstanding Flight School and Outstanding Flight Instructor will be awarded to those flight training providers that score in the top 20 percent for their category. The award winners will be able to display the AOPA Outstanding Flight School 2013 or Outstanding Flight Instructor 2013 logo on any physical, print or electronic medium and will be recognized in AOPA’s online flight school directory.
The Flight Training Excellence Poll will close on August 9, 2013.
