AOPA has partnered with Jeppesen to create an easy to use real-time flight planning software tool that provides the basic capabilities that most pilots need without bogging you down in thousands of details or complex functions. All you have to do is download and install the software, setup your individual pilot and aircraft profiles, then start planning your flights! AOPA's Real-Time Flight Planner (RTFP) will take care of all the details regarding fuel burns, time to waypoints, wind correction, magnetic variation, ground speed, etc.
Would you like to learn more before you download? Visit AOPA's Real Time Flight Planner Tutorial, and follow a step-by-step demonstration of how to create your first flight plan and stop the program at any time to navigate to different sections and topics of interest. |

Always Uses the Latest Data Straight from Approved Sources
We all know that temporary flight restrictions (TFRs), weather data, airport information, and other navigational information is constantly changing. So every time you use RTFP, the software will use your Internet connection to check with Jeppesen for updates to their master navigation database, as well as to check for real-time updates to TFRs. If you've registered for free access to the FAA's Direct User Access Terminal System (DUATS), RTFP can access and display real-time weather data including radar, satellite images, and winds aloft. It can even access data from AOPA's Airport Directory Online including NACO IFR approach plates. Between these three world-class sources of real-time data, your flight planning will always be current and accurate.
