Windows Media Player
Watch Streaming Videos

Almost all of the videos used on this Website are encoded using the Windows Media Video 9 VCM codec, but you don't need the Windows Media Player 9 to watch them. These videos will play in Windows Media Player 6.4 and later for Windows and Windows Media Player 9 and later for Mac OS X. If you're using an older player (6, 7 or 8) and you don't already have the Media Video 9 VCM codec, then the Windows Media Player will use your Internet connection to automatically download and install the updated codec.

Download current Windows Media Player.

Optionally, if you have administrative privileges for your PC and the required skills, you can manually download and install the appropriate codec from the Microsoft codec reference page.

Apple QuickTime Plug-in
Panoramas, Cubic Panoramas

In order to experience the cubic (spherical) panoramas, you'll need to have QuickTime 5 (or a newer version) with the VR plug-in installed and working on your computer.

See if You Have QuickTime 5 (or a newer version) with the VR Plug-in

If you can see a full view of the Cirrus SR20 aircraft interior directly below this paragraph, then you have QuickTime 5 (or a newer version) with the VR plug-in installed and working on your computer.

If the Test Frame looks like this, you have QT5 with VR

If the Test Frame looks like this, you have QuickTime 4

If the Test Frame is empty or like this, you don't have QuickTime

Windows Users: Some computers have a conflicting plug-in, called Windows Media Player pre-installed. This plug-in tries to open QuickTime files. Windows Media Player can play some QuickTime movies, but it cannot play the QuickTime VR panoramas which are abundant throughout this site. Windows Media Player will attempt to open the QuickTime VR panoramas, but will fail to display them.

Examine the test shown above. If you see the Windows Media Player logo and toolbar displayed within the Live Test Frame, then you can correct this condition by downloading and installing QuickTime 5 with the VR plug-in. After installing QuickTime, you should quit and restart your browser before returning to this site.

Install QuickTime and the VR plug-in free of charge from Apple. Be sure to select the option to install the Web enhancements, which include the VR plug-in, during the installation process. If prompted to "Open" or "Save", choose "Open."

Macromedia Flash Plug-in
Interact with Diagrams & Maps

To interact with content created in Flash (such as the interactive airport map), you'll need to have the Flash 5.0 plug-in (or later version) installed and working on your computer. The latest version of Flash is free and available for Mac and Windows on the Macromedia Website.

Microsoft's Internet Explorer browser software currently comes with a Flash plug-in pre-installed, but it may be an earlier version than 5.0.

If you're sure you've got the Flash 5.0 plug-in (or a later version) installed and working on your computer, then you'll have no trouble with the flash content on this site. If not, then you'll need the latest version.

Install Flash Player free of charge from Macromedia. If prompted to "Open" or "Save", choose "Open."

Macromedia Flash Paper
Easily View or Print Online Documents

This Website uses Macromedia FlashPaper to speed and ease the display a variety of documents online (in all cases, these documents are also available as Adobe Acrobat PDF files). FlashPaper has several advantages for Web users, including the fact that FlashPaper documents open instantly within web pages, providing a seamless way to view documents as an intrinsic part of a web page without having to leave the context of the web page itself.

The FlashPaper document viewer user interface is clean and intuitive (view image for description of FlashPaper controls), allowing visitors to zoom and scroll within the document, or print the document directly to desktop printers.

Microsoft Internet Explorer
Recommended for this Website

This Website works best with Microsoft's Internet Explorer version 4.5 or higher. AOL's uses a version of the Internet Explorer browser, and is therefore supported by this site. However, most AOL users will experience problems which are unique to AOL like lower image quality. For any browser, please make sure that you have the latest Apple QuickTime and Macromedia Flash plug-ins installed and working.
